  4. NO, WE JUST CAN'T STAND SUCH AWESOMENESS!

  5. seriously, why even bother when you're not even going to finish?

  6. TELL IT TO YOUR F*CKING OVERSUBBERS!
And seriously, I expecting donations to finish this, so all depends on you.

  7. that's really cocky behavior, you know that? almost, not all fansubbers do their work for free, simply because they like anime and/or the shows they translate. they only accept donations in rare instances for servers/hosting etc. so for you to even ask money for something that's illegal in essence, is ridiculous. so no, I won't donate.

  8. "...TechnoGirls was the first to fansub solely on a openly solicited sponsorship basis. It seems to be a big thing
    now. I guess that's good.
I know some groups are soliciting for sponsors and not doing too well with it. But there's not too much choice if you don't have the resources otherwise...
Q: I think it was about a year from the time TG solicited sponsorship till the time they finally delivered Wedding Peach. I had serious doubts that it would be made.
A: Honestly, we struggled to get it done that whole time. I was dismayed myself at how powerless I was to make it happen faster. We went through 4 flaking-out translators before we got decent scripts. We started laying down tape before episode 3 was even translated, just to hurry it up. I made no promises about exactly when any volume would be done, because it was simply impossible to predict. As it turned out, Romeo went fastest, Peach went slowest. This was mostly due to the irregular, colloquial "bad" mod quasi-westernized Japanese spoken in Peach. It drives translators mad. I quickly learned to not permit sponsors beyond the next volume to be produced unless I was sure of the translation. Every episode with sponsorship will be subbed, or the money will be
refunded. And anytime, on demand, the money will be refunded upon request of the original sponsor, if the translation isn't done yet.
In terms of sponsored episodes, I think that Technogirls has DELIVERED more than any other fansubber. Maybe even more than all others
combined. I consider sponsorship to be a type of commission, and take it very seriously.
With regard to the Internet, though, none of us are so naive as to not know that sending donations to strangers can be risky. There are new "fansubbers" out there who've done nothing but pick an anime, make a web
page, and ask for "donations" without showing that they are capable of anything at all. We didn't start getting any significant support until Romeo 1 was out and circulating, to prove we could make a fansub. I agree that it's foolish to send money to someone who's never made a fansub or distributed tapes before."

  9. hm, so it was easier for you to post quotes from someone else, than to reply yourself? anyway.. let's say someone would donate for you to sub this show, how much would it cost?

  10. 1)I can; will you believe me?
2)23$ per vhs transfers for 4-26;+ 9x5=45 for arabic or 9x9=81 for japanese translations for 27-35eps. Also don't mind editor.^ゝ^

  11. what? you do arabic subs now?

    ReplyDelete
  12. No, I'm doing english subs from arabic dub... or from italian; customer can choose.

    ReplyDelete
  13. "9x9=81 for japanese translations"
so you do a translation from japanese for 9$/episode? is that limited to this show?

    ReplyDelete
  14. Just a comment regarding subbing from the Arabic dub. As I watched it, I know they actually change some stuff in the story, For example, the Valentine episode received heavy modification. I also believe the episode that Takuya was sick because of a ghost curse was also completely altered.

  15. 1)Not me; freelancers doing. 2)Not very limited.

  16. So why is it that you put your tag on these files when you didn't sub them? They're the original files released by Sachi, and even if Sachi's not around anymore, what gives you the right to take credit for their work and then to turn around and DEMAND "donations" to "continue" the project ...?

  17. Sachi Distribution was vhs fansub group. Tapes & digitalizing cost a lot of money & time. Please use your brain before posting next time. Although to whom I'm talking to...

  18. What makes your comment not only ridiculously stupid but funny... is that Sachi COMPLETELY STOPPED DISTRIBUTION of non-official rips of their fansubs in 2002 using JUST A REQUEST. Because community was a much more ethical & intelligent back in old days.
